We woke up at 6:40 this morning to go catch the sunrise at the beach with Madre. At such an early hour, deer sightings are almost guaranteed. The beach is infamous for friendly deer expecting a hand out, because beach-goers always ignore the signs and throw food out to them. I think for the most part the deer seem smart enough to understand they won't get fed by a moving car, but whenever you park near them, they walk up to your car and stand only a few meters away waiting patiently to get hit in the head with a piece of apple or something. We never encourage them, but I can't help but take advantage of their friendliness to snap a few photos.
